Macy, Neb. inmate charged with abusive sexual contact

A judge has sentenced a Nebraska man to three years in federal prison for abusive sexual contact with a fellow jail inmate on the Omaha Indian Reservation.

Online court records show 20-year-old Sabastian Bluehorse Cook of Macy was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court.

Cook and another male inmate were placed in a cell at the Macy Jail in July 2011. Prosecutors say surveillance video captured Cook climbing on top of the male, who was passed out on the floor. Jailers who went to separate them say Cook was inappropriately touching the other inmate when they arrived.

The sentencing followed a plea agreement. On Thursday, a judge dismissed a federal car-theft charge against Cook from a separate case.

Cook must serve five years of supervised release after his prison term.
