SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa (KTIV) -
Another abduction attempt, this time in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
Police say on September 26th and eight-year-old girl was approached by a stranger near the elementary school, and asked to get into his van. Authorities say the girl waited a couple of days to tell her parents.
The suspect is described as a dark brown skinned man in his late 30's with black hair. He spoke with an accent and had words tattooed on both arms. The girl told police he also had a piercing above his left eyebrow.
Authorities say he drove a white minivan with two horizontal black stripes down the side and a large star design from the top of the rear window to the bottom rear end gate.

The Sergeant Bluff Police Department also reminds parents to talk to their children about what to do when approached by a stranger.
Half-a-dozen attempted abduction reports have come in to Northwest Iowa agencies in recent weeks in Northwest Iowa.
In those incidents the suspect was described as an older man with gray hair driving a white or silver van.
