YANKTON, S.D. (KTIV) -
Congresswoman Kristi Noem paid a special visit to a government class at the high school Wednesday. Students asked a variety questions about taxes, the deficit, even her daily schedule in Washington.
The congresswoman says it's important to visit with young people to help motivate them about the importance of government and political process.
"Even though they are not in the workforce yet, it's certainly their future that will be at stake in these elections, it's gonna be important," Congresswoman Kristi Noem of South Dakota said.
Noem also encouraged students to stay involved with politics year-round not just at election time.
