SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Candidates for Nebraska's district 17 will square off Thursday night.
Incumbent Senator David Bloomfield and challenger Van Phillips will speak in front of the South Sioux City Area Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee.
The event is open to the public.
It will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the South Sioux City Middle School.
State and local candidates will speak in Sioux City Thursday night at a forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters.
Candidates for Iowa House District 13 and 14 will be in attendance.
Candidates in districts one, three and five vying for a Woodbury County supervisor seat will pitch their plans to voters.
Also there will be candidates for the combined Auditor, Recorder and Commissioner of Elections.
And both candidates wanting to be sheriff will also attend.
The event will be held at the Cargill Auditorium on the Western Iowa Tech Community Campus.
It starts at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
