The pink shirts are $20 and available for purchase at all Siouxland Fire Stations.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Do you care enough to wear pink? Well, the Sioux City firefighters do.
For the next few days, they are trading their traditional blue uniform shirts for pink.
The shirts are in support for women impacted by breast cancer.
This is the first year the firefighters are joining a national emergency responder campaign called "Cares Enough to Wear Pink".
"It affects so many, it affects a lot of firefighters, firefighter families, and families of those that we serve so definitely a worthy cause and near and dear to our hearts as well," said Garrett Soldati, Sioux City FireFighter/Paramedic.
The pink shirts are $20 and available for purchase at all Siouxland Fire Stations.
The donations from the shirts will go to support the June E. Nylen Cancer Center.
