SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
It was a regular political buffet at Western Iowa Tech, Thursday night.
That's where the League of Women Voters hosted a political forum for 14 local candidates. They running for spots in the Iowa House, plus positions for Woodbury County supervisor, sheriff and auditor.
The group talked for a little over two hours, taking questions from a panel and the audience.
Organizers of the event say they created the forum to inform the people.
"This is the opportunity for the public to hear questions posed to the candidates. And also to pose their own questions… so they cast an informed vote," said Carolyn Goodwin with the League of Women Voters.
We'll hear from many of the candidates who spoke Thursday, Friday on News Four at Six.
