98th annual Dakota Days Parade Marshals are Tom and Meridith Brokaw

VERMILLION, S.D. (KTIV) -

The Al Neuharth Award is also part of the 98th annual Dakota Days celebration in Vermillion, South Dakota this weekend.

One of the big events is the parade Saturday morning.

This year, University of South Dakota alums Tom and Meredith Brokaw will serve as the Parade Marshals.

The parade starts at ten.

Tom Brokaw is the former anchor of "NBC Nightly News" and still serves as a correspondent.

Meredith Brokaw is the founder of Penny Whistle Toys in New York City and has written several children's books and a cookbook.

Both are Yankton, South Dakota natives.
