Police investigating truck explosion near Hy-Vee Warehouse

Cherokee, IOWA (KTIV) -

Firefighters responded to a report of a semi-truck explosion in Cherokee early Saturday morning. The truck apparently caught on fire.

Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies say the fire was reported around 4:30 am. It happened in the lot of a Hy-Vee warehouse.

Authorities say the investigation into what caused the explosion is ongoing. We hope to bring you more details as soon as they become available.
