Scoreless after the first period, David Henry gave Sioux City a 1-0 on a rebound following a shot by Jake Montgomery.

It remained a 1-0 game until Ben Ostile tied things up at the 12:09 mark in the third period on a powerplay goal.

Still tied at one with less than three minutes to play, David Goodwin scored a shorthanded goal, but Omaha's Drew Melanson answered with a goal with four seconds to play in the game to force overtime.
