UNDATED (KTIV) -
As Congressman Steve King, and challenger Christie Vilsack, get ready to debate in Sioux City, there's word that TV ad buys on both sides of the 4th district congressional race are being scaled back.
According to the Washington Post, the National Republican Congressional Committee has canceled ad reservations in the 4th district-- for King-- the week of October 23rd through the 29th. The Post reports the race has gotten "significant investments" from another outside Republican group, the Congressional Leadership Fund.
Roll Call reports that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has cut ad buys in the 4th district-- for Vilsack-- in the same week. Roll Call reports the reduction comes in races the DCCC believes "look like steep climbs in November."
That's despite a recent poll, done by Public Policy Polling, which King with a slim 3% lead over Vilsack.
