Centsable Health: Serving up steak on a stick

Grilling is a great way to cook our favorite foods. And it makes any tailgate party better.

Adam Jeppeson, a meat expert from Fareway Foods, offers these tips for preparing steak on a stick. It's our latest Centsable Health segment.

If you're using wood skewers, soak them in water overnight to help make sure they don't burn on the grill.

Choose top sirloin or beef shoulder tenders and cut into thinly sliced pieces.

Ribbon thinly sliced cuts onto skewers. If you plan on using a marinade, marinade the meat while it's on the skewer. It creates less of a mess.

Cook meat until desired tenderness.
