After winning three straight NAIA titles, the Northwestern women are picked second in the GPAC poll.
Concordia University received seven first place votes and totaled 96 points and are the preseason coaches' selection to win the 2012-2013 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Basketball Championship.
The Bulldogs posted a 34-3 record last year and won the regular and post-season championships in the conference. Concordia advanced to the NAIA Division II Semifinals in Sioux City, Iowa.
Northwestern, the defending NAIA Division II National Champion, was given the final four first place votes and totaled 93 points and was picked second in the early season poll. The Red Raiders have won three straight NAIA Titles (2010, 11, and 12).
Morningside was picked third and Briar Cliff fourth in the preseason poll.
Points were awarded on a 10-1 basis and coaches' could not vote for their own team.
