SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Bev's on the River is not letting Thursday night's announcement dampen their spirits.
Bev's owner Roger Miller says that no matter where a casino is built, it's a quote -- "win for the Siouxland area."
Miller says Bev's is also excited that the Hard Rock proposal announced Thursday night does not call for building a new hotel, since that would "saturate" the "market."
And even now, Bev's is still open to the idea of hosting a casino.
"We continue to believe our site offers many of the same amenities already complete that the SCE-LLC proposal brings, but with one additional positive: the beautiful and scenic Missouri River," said Jesse Miller, Midwest Franchise COO.
Miller says Bev's has other advantages, including 800 parking stalls, millions already invested in infrastructure, hotel, restaurant and convention space, good access from I-29, and boat ramp parking.
