SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
No. 4 Morningside racked up 644 yards of total offense and knocked off its fourth top 25 opponent on the season with a 63-7 victory over No. 19 Dakota Wesleyan Saturday afternoon in Sioux City.
Quarterback Joel Nixon completed 20-of-28 passes for 395 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for 40 yards. Joel McCabe was Nixon's favorite target. The two hooked up nine times for 126 yards and two scores.
Running back Fred Jones finished with 56 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the win.
The Mustang defense held the Tiger offense in check the entire night, giving up only four first downs and 127 yards of total offense.
M'side is on the road at Hastings next weekend.

Dakota State scored the final two touchdowns of Saturday's tilt against Briar Cliff to claim a 35-28 win over the Chargers.
BCU quarterback PJ Quiroga finished the game with 291 passing yards and two touchdowns, including a 78 yards to Tyler McGhee.
McGhee finished the game with 133 reception yards.
Robert Wilson paved the way for the Chargers on the ground, scoring twice to go along with his 88 rushing yards.
With the loss, BCU falls to 1-6 on the season. The Chargers are on the road next weekend at Northwestern.
