Court date set for lawsuit involving Penn National Gaming & MRHD
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A court date has been set to hear arguments between the Argosy Casino's parent company and the group that holds Woodbury County's gambling license.
In January, Missouri River Historical Development sued Penn National claiming it had the right to talk to other operators that it felt would deliver the best plan for a land-based casino.
Penn counter-sued, accusing the non-profit of breach of contract.
The company is asking the court to affirm their contract with MRHD. They not doing so will put their business and local job security in jeopardy.
The court date is set for October 24th in Polk County.
