WAGNER, S.D. (AP) -

One of two adults arrested after a 2-year-old girl was found dead in their Wagner, South Dakota home pleads guilty to drug charges.

For his plea, prosecutors will dismiss two charges against 21-year-old Taylor Cournoyer, child abuse and failure to notify authorities of a child's death.

Prosecutors say the toddler's body was in a closet for two days before Cournoyer and his wife reported her death.

Cournoyer, who has ties to Sioux City, pled guilty to meth possession and keeping a drug house.

He also admitted being a habitual offender which exposes him to an elevated prison sentence of 25 years.
