SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
It was a fun and exciting Thursday night, with a good cause. More than 300 people enjoyed the 5th annual "Boxers and Bras for a Cause" held at the Sioux City Public Museum.
Local groups and individuals decorated various boxers and bras for the event. Each of them had a unique theme for the runway show.
With 60 entries, the event put on by the June E. Nylen Cancer Center is designed to educate about the importance of mammograms and colon screenings.
"Really aiming at the younger generations. Hoping to get them talking about it, saying something about it, trying to take the fear away of mammography and colonoscopy," said Karen Van De Steeg, June E. Nylen Cancer Center Executive Director.
Guests got to vote on their favorite boxers or bra at the end of the night.
