South Dakota candidates for U.S. House debate issues on televised debate

Republican incumbent Kristi Noem and Democratic challenger Matt Varilek squared off during a debate that was broadcast on South Dakota Public TV Thursday night. The pair clashed on budgets, veterans issues, and a safety net for farmers.

More time given to two men named in BPI lawsuit

Two men named in a lawsuit, filed by Beef Products Incorporated, have been given more time to respond to the billion-dollar defamation suit. Carl Custer, a former federal food scientist, and Gerald Zirnstein, the USDA microbiologist who coined the two-word derogatory term to describe LFTB, now have until November 19th to respond.

Siouxland brought out their undies for a good cause

Baring it all for a good cause. Local groups and individuals decorated their "delicates" for the 5th annual "Boxers and Bras for a Cause" fundraiser. With 60 entries, the event is designed to educate the importance of mammograms and colon screenings.
