A Sioux City man accused of murder says he's not guilty

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Sioux City man, Fernando Jaimes-Martinez is charged with murder, willful injury, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say 27-year-old Karla Gonzalez was hit in the head by a bullet fired by Martinez after a disturbance outside 1602 Villa Avenue.

Court papers say four other people were stabbed by Jaimes-Martinez's brothers before the shooting.

They have not been charged.

A trial date for Jaimes-Martinez is set for January.
