Services set for former U.S. Senator George McGovern

Services are set for former U.S. Senator George McGovern of South Dakota, who died on Sunday.

McGovern served three terms in the Senate beginning in 1962. He also ran for president.

A public viewing is planned for 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science in Sioux Falls.

McGovern will be buried in Washington D-C.
