Senator remembers George McGovern

NEAR VERMILLION, S.D. (KTIV) -

While in Vermillion on Monday, Senator Tim Johnson spoke about former U.S. Senator George McGovern's passing.

Johnson said McGovern built the democratic party in South Dakota and has very fond memories of him.

"We owe a lot to George McGovern for his efforts at peace and his special efforts to feed the hungry," Senator Tim Johnson from South Dakota said.
