AMES, Iowa (KTIV) - -

Iowa State has already switched quarterbacks once this season and after seven games the job is open again. It will be a three-man competition this week as the Cyclones get ready for their homecoming game against Baylor.

Jared Barnett won at TCU, but lost to Kansas State, and completed just 19 of 39 passes at Okie State before being replaced by Steele Jantz, who started the first four games.

Barnett, Jantz and freshman Sam Richardson will all compete to start against the 3-3 Bears on Saturday.

The Cyclones have the Big 12's worst passing attack, and head coach Paul Rhoads did not want to answer any questions about his quarterback situation.

"I've got three (QB's)," said Rhoads. "That is correct."

"We have three capable quarterbacks who will all get a shot during practice this week," said running back Jeff Woody.

"I'm just going to go mute guys. I'm just going to go mute," said Rhoads.

Rhoads is also keeping his quarterbacks muzzled. None of the three were available at Tuesday's press conference.

Baylor and Iowa State play at 6:00 PM Saturday on Fox Sports Net.
