SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Siouxland District Health serves thousands every year.
And those who enter its doors will see an atrium named after a long time employee and director.
The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution to name the atrium at 1014 Nebraska street, the Frances Jouwstra/Sadden Atrium.
Former director, Fran Sadden's family requested to name the entry location at Siouxland District Health.
It's an honor for her extensive work in public health.
"For 27 years service, it was through her leadership, vision and the commitment that she had to serving Woodbury County residents that we felt was an honor worthy of her," Kevin Grieme, the Director of Siouxland District Health said.
In April, during National Public Health Month, a plaque will be unveiled.
