Some changes coming to the Race for the Cure

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Some changes are in the works for next year's Susan G Komen: Race for the Cure in Sioux City.

Organizers say instead of holding it on Mother's Day, the race will be held on May 5th, which is the Sunday before.

Organizers have also changed the venue of the 5K and 1 mile walk/run. The event will now start and finish at the Sioux City Convention Center.

The race's chair says the changes were necessary due to interstate construction downtown.
