SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
New polls show Mitt Romney surging since the first presidential debate.
Wednesday's Washington Post-ABC News tracking poll puts Romney ahead of President Barack Obama by 1-point... 49% to 48%. And, there's no denying that Iowa is important.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus stopped in Sioux City, tonight, to fire up volunteers at Romney's victory headquarters.
They're key in a presidential race Priebus compared to a football game. Reince Priebus, RNC Chair says, "The team that's got the bigger line, the team that's got faster line... people working hard, people working in the trenches, knocking on doors, and answering phones... that team is going to win."
When asked which battleground states the Romney campaign would have to win to win the election, Priebus listed Virginia, Ohio, and one other state. Priebus said that other state could be Iowa, which is why so much attention is being paid to the "hawkeye state" so close to election.
