SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Woodbury County Emergency Manager, Gary Brown says the burn ban for Woodbury County was lifted at 8 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Brown says some municipality's in Woodbury County including Sioux City and Sergeant Bluff have their own open burning regulations and the lifting of the county wide burn ban does not affect the burning restriction in place within any municipality.

He says the fire departments in Woodbury County would like to thank the residents for their cooperation and request that they exercise extreme caution with the use of fire during these drought conditions.
