A new record price has been paid for Iowa farmland, and it's in Siouxland

BOYDEN, Iowa (KTIV) -

An 80-acre plot near Boyden sold Thursday for 21-thousand, 900-dollars per acre.

That tops the previous record price of 20-thousand dollars per acre set last December in nearby Hull.

The auction company declined to name the buyer.

The seller is Henry Boelsman, a longtime farmer.
