Sioux City Police want kids to be safe while trick or treating

Posted:
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Trick or Treating will be next Wednesday October 31st from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sioux City police are suggesting some helpful tips for a safe and fun Halloween.

Make sure your yard is clear of ladders, hoses, and pet leashes.

Halloween costumes should be made of fire retardant material and the eye holes should be large enough for good vision.

If your older children are going alone, plan and review the route that is acceptable to you.

Only go to homes with porch light on and never enter a home or car for a treat.
