SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Big news regarding Sioux City's Argosy Casino, a Polk County judge has denied a request by Penn National Gaming to stop Woodbury County license holder, Missouri River Historical Development from talking to other operators.
MRHD President Mark Monson says the decision came down late this afternoon.
He says this move by Judge Hansen allows the non-profit to move forward with submitting plans to build a Hard Rock Casino downtown with operator Sioux City Entertainment.
Penn wanted the injunction because they felt MRHD breached a contract signed in June.
In a statement, Monson says "We're pleased with Judge Hansen's ruling. And the court approved opportunity to file our application for a new Hard Rock Casino with our partner Sioux City Entertainment."
