SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

The CF Industries announcement first broke during a special meeting of the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors, Thursday afternoon.

"This is just astronomical. It's going to help our kids, our grandkids, and kids after that," David Tripp, 3rd District Supervisor said.

A sense of excitement in the room with the news of CF Industries' expansion.

A unanimous decision was made to move forward with plans to conduct a formal development agreement with CF Industries.

Board chair Jackie Smith said CF Industries' expansion will also mean an expansion of the county's tax base.

It could mean 49-million dollars in new tax revenue over 20-years.
