Energy assistance applications are now being accepted

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

The Community Action Agency of Siouxland is now accepting applications for its Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, LIHEAP.

LIHEAP helps qualifying low-income Iowa homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their heating costs.

It provides assistance based set criteria.

Applications are first come, first serve at the Community Action Agency of Siouxland from now until April 30th.

Last year, over 10,000 people were assisted in Woodbury County.
