SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

With a Hard Rock Casino possibly coming to downtown Sioux City, community members had the opportunity to ask questions to those involved with the project.

Representatives from Missouri River Historical Development and Sioux City Entertainment, the two partners in bringing the casino to Sioux City, spoke with the Kiwanis Club this afternoon.

A representative with Sioux City Entertainment says that downtown Sioux City would be a great place for the casino because it fits in with the "vibrant" culture there.

The casino would be located in the battery building, and that had some asking about the parking situation there.

"Parking's a serious issue for any casino. If you don't have adequate parking, it's not going to help your casino business at all, so we've got that handled, we're comfortable with the parking that we have," said Jerry Hill, Vice President of Sioux City Entertainment.

The deadline to submit applications to the Iowa Gaming and Racing Commission is Monday, November 5th.
