Christie Vilsack tries to rally supporters at democratic headquarters in Sioux City.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
With only four full days of campaigning left before election day, Iowa congressional candidate Christie Vilsack is not wasting any time.
Some polls show her race for the newly created fourth district against republican Steve King is tight.
That's why she says she'll campaign non-stop trying to get every last vote she can.
While at the Woodbury County Democratic Headquarters in Sioux City Thursday night, the former Iowa First Lady says she's focused on key issues like stimulating economic growth.
"For me its about investing in wind and in renewable fuels and a green economy and jump starting the economy," Christie Vilsack said.
She also talked about needed cuts to balance the budget.
"Balancing the budget means that you make cuts and I've been specific about where you can make cuts in terms of negotiating for prescription drugs that we can really look at the Affordable Care Act and find out how we can pay for results and force services," Vilsack said.
Vilsack says she will come back to campaign in Sioux City this Sunday.
