SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) -
Nebraska voters decided the fate of four constitutional amendments at the polls on Tuesday.
Amendment One, which provides that any misdemeanor while in the pursuit of his or her office is grounds for impeachment of a civil officer was approved.
The vote will authorize such actions while a vote against it would not authorize impeachment.
Amendment Two was approved and it will establish the right to hunt, to fish and to harvest wildlife.
It's also to state that these activities shall be a preferred means of managing and controlling wildlife.
Amendment Three was rejected. It asked voters whether or not they are in favor of extending the term limit for Nebraska Legislative terms from eight years to 12 years.
And, Amendment Four which deals with Legislative pay was rejected.
It asked whether or not the salary of Nebraska Legislators should be raised from $12,000 to $22,500.
