AMES, Iowa (KTIV) - -
Iowa State heads to Texas on Saturday, still looking for one more win to become bowl eligible. The Cyclones are 5-4 after losing to Oklahoma. The Longhorns are 7-2, with three straight wins after also getting pounded by the Sooners.
ISU has lost three of their last four games but did win their last trip to Austin, 28-21 in 2010.
"There aren't any teams where we look at the schedule and go, 'oh jeez we can't compete with those guys'. We go and take care of what we need to do, we can play with anyone in the Big 12 and we can beat anyone in the Big 12," said ISU running back Jeff Woody. "It's a matter of executing what we have better than they execute what they have."
ISU and Texas play at 11:00 AM Saturday on ABC-TV.
