Drought conditions are unchanged for South Dakota

Posted:
SIOUX FALLS, SD (KTIV) -

Even with the rain Siouxland has received over the last couple weeks, we still need more.

The map shows 60-percent of the land in the lower 48 states is experiencing some degree of a drought.

In the Rushmore state the drought conditions have not changed.

The U.S. Drought Monitor map shows extreme or exception drought covers the southern half of South Dakota.
