The publisher of a Siouxland newspaper is at odds with the local Republican Party

The Union County, South Dakota GOP sent out a mailer this week supporting several candidates.

They called it the "Lincoln Union County Times," and it featured a nameplate that looked a lot like that of the Dakota Dunes/North Sioux City Times.

That paper's publisher says he got a lot of calls from subscribers wondering if the mailer was an endorsement by his paper.

Bruce Odson wants an apology, but Union County Republican Party Chairman Dan Lederman says he didn't intend to deceive readers and doesn't think he did anything wrong.
