The USD student newspaper is receiving a big honor

VERMILLION, S.D. (KTIV) -

The student newspaper at the University of South Dakota is receiving a big honor: the National Pacemaker Award.

The award recognizes The Volante as one of the best weekly college newspapers in the country.

This is the seventh time since 1993 that The Volante has received the honor from the Associated College Press.

The Volante has served USD and Vermillion since 1887.
