Authorities: LeMars, Iowa man killed after semi overturns near Salix, IA

NEAR SALIX, Iowa (KTIV) -

A Le Mars Iowa man is dead after his semi-truck overturned near Salix, Iowa.

Iowa State Patrol says 54-year-old John Anthony was driving west on 280th Street around 6:40 a.m. Monday. Authorities say Anthony missed the curve leading the intersection of Dallas Avenue.

His tractor-trailer over-turned landing on the passenger side.

Crews had to use rescue equipment to free Anthony from the vehicle.

He was taken to Mercy Medical Center where he later died.

The investigation is still ongoing.
