SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Top Iowa officials warn 37,000 wind industry jobs are at risk if wind production tax credits aren't extended during the lame duck session in Congress.
Those tax credits, called PTC's, are due to expire at the end of the year.
U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley and Iowa Governor Terry Branstad met in Washington on Tuesday to try and encourage congress to take action.
They say the wind industry employs 75,000 Americans.
Branstad and Oregon's Governor lead the Governor's Wind Energy Coalition, a bi-partisan group representing 28 states.
