Funeral set Thursday for western Iowa soldier

Funeral services are scheduled on Thursday for a 19-year-old army soldier from southwest Iowa who died this month in Afghanistan.

Private First Class Brandon Buttry of Shenandoah was serving on active duty in Kandahar Province when he died on November 5th.

The incident is under investigation.

Buttry's funeral will be held Thursday in his hometown of Shenandoah.

Among Buttry's family members who survive him is his grandfather, Harry Albright of Cherokee.
