SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Say cheese! It's time to get that family portrait for the holidays. But what if you could include your pets and help a good cause at the same time?
Santa welcomed a different breed of "kids" for the Paws N Claus photo shoot.
The Siouxland Humane Society offers a chance for families to pose with their furry friends. And the money raised goes back to help the shelter.
Some of the pets showing their pearly whites were adopted through the Humane Society.
"We get to see a lot of our animals that get adopted, and we get to see how happy they are in their new loving homes and how much they mean to people. And that is just so important to keep us going," said LaVon Stroh, Siouxland Humane Society Director of Development.
Paws N Claus is at 839 Gordon Drive, that's in a strip mall in downtown Sioux City. Hours for photos are Friday, November 16th, 5:30-9:00 p.m.; Saturday, November 17th, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, November 18th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call the Siouxland Humane Society at 712-252-2614 ext. 7 for an appointment, however, walk-ins are welcome.
