Spencer, IA man dies in a Sioux Falls hospital following injuries from a fight

SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) -

Spencer Police say 44-year-old Jefferson Wilbur passed away on Sunday.

They say Wilbur had been found in an alley unresponsive on September 1st.

Police arrested 22-year-old Chase Foote of Dickens and charged him with Willful Injury in the incident.

Spencer Police and the Clay County Attorney's Office are waiting for Wilbur's autopsy results and the investigation is still on-going.
