LINCOLN, Neb. (KTIV) -
34-year-old Charlie Rogers, a former University of Nebraska women's basketball player and South Sioux City native wants to move her trial out of the Lincoln area.
Rogers is accused of faking a hate-crime attack.
She has asked Lancaster County Judge to move her trial.
He lawyer claims there's "a substantial risk" jurors would be tainted by publicity.
Police say Rogers wasn't telling the truth when she claimed three masked men broke into her home in July, and carved derogatory words in her arms and abdomen.
Rogers insists the attack happened.
