Sioux City gives alternate routes to avoid Black Friday traffic

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

If you're planning to shop on Friday, Sioux City wants you to know traffic could be trouble. They say the intersection at Sergeant Road and South Lakeport Street exceeds 8,000 vehicles per hour. Delays due to congestion are expected.

City officials are trying to help though. They've come up with a bunch of alternative routes to your favorite spots; Lakeport Commons, the Southern Hills Mall, Target, Lowes, and more.
