SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Turkey and pumpkin pie are staples for Thanksgiving. But, for some, the plate may be empty on Thanksgiving Day.
So Wednesday night, the Soup Kitchen on West 7th Street was busy serving a traditional meal to the hungry.
The Soup Kitchen fed more than 200 people.
"It's a good feeling, you know, so the kids can come and have a good turkey dinner. Some of them maybe don't get a turkey dinner at Thanksgiving time. And at least we can offer them a good evening hot, warm good meal," Ruth Lebowich Soup Kitchen Board Member said.
All the food provided is donated, and volunteers serve the food.
