Iowa State and West Virginia play for the first time on Friday.
AMES, Iowa (KTIV) -
The Cyclones are bowl eligible for the third time in four years after picking up a win against Kansas a week ago, and have a head full of steam following that 51-point outburst heading into Friday's matchup against West Virginia.
It'll be the first meeting between the schools.
6-5 would seem to be a pretty good year, but that's just the beginning of where the goals start for the Cyclones.
With 26 seniors, Iowa State isn't going to roll over for West Virginia. They're ready to accomplish more for the program.
"Things that we can still attain are four Big 12 wins. Haven't done it. Seven regular season wins, haven't done it. A chance for an 8th overall win, haven't done it. A chance for a top half, top six finish in the Big 12, haven't done it," Head Coach Paul Rhoads said. "All things that are great motivation for or kids."
Kick off between the Cyclones and Mountaineers is set for 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
