Vail, Iowa man killed in accident in Crawford County

NEAR VAIL, Iowa (KTIV) -

A Vail, Iowa man has died after a two-vehicle accident in Crawford County.

It happened around 11:30 PM Thursday near the intersection of 330th Street and J Avenue near Vail.

The details of the accident are still being investigated. However, the Iowa State Patrol reports the two vehicles, in opposite lanes, collided at the top of a hill on 330th Street.

50-year-old Jeffery Studt was in one of the vehicles. He was taken to a local hospital where he died. A passenger in that vehicle,42-year-old Christina Studt also of Vail, was hurt. There's no word on her condition.

Also hurt, the driver and passenger in the other vehicle. They're identified as 30-year-old Matthew Johnson and 27-year-old Becky Weller, both of Manilla. There's no word on their condition either.
