SAC CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Police arrest four men in Sac City, Iowa accused of stealing a safe and looting the contents inside.
Sac City Police were called to 504 North 12th Street for a report of a burglary on November 12th.
Officers say the suspects had broken into the home and removed an 600 pound steel safe.
The safe was later found in another location. It had been pried open and its contents taken. That included more than $10,000 cash.
A week later, after searching an apartment located in the 600 block of Park Avenue, authorities discovered more than $5,000 of brand new merchandise.
Police arrested two men from Sac City, Andrew Thomas Junior, 20, and 18-year-old Daniel Rangel. Also taken into custody, Austin Stadler, 19, of Nemaha and Troy Tuggle, 20, of Early, Iowa.
They face charges of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.
