Santa makes early stop in Sioux City

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

No one knows for sure when Santa will be visiting Siouxland on Christmas Eve, but KTIV managed to catch up with the guy in the red suit making an early visit downtown Saturday.

Kids lined up inside the Ho-Chunk Center to have breakfast, get their faces painted and decorate cookies.  

Afterwards they got a chance to meet Santa and tell him what was on their Christmas list.
Some shared with us what they asked St. Nick to bring them this year.

"Well, one of my items is a Camaro SS.  A puzzle. I always wanted a puppy and some Monster High Dolls.  A remote controlled helicopter.  A Wii U, that's one of my favorite systems, that I want that so bad.  Merry Christmas everyone," some of the kids who were in line said.

Proceeds from the event went to the Foodbank of Siouxland.
